Welcome Ronan

As we grow so, apparently, do our performers, standing at a whopping 6ft 5 Ronan Lefur is the newest member of our team and comes all the way from France! We are very happy to have him on board as he comes with a lot of experience and can look over high objects for trouble!

Ronan is currently touring with the Dinner Table and will then start work on “Time for Tea” in September, a show we will be creating for Shanghai and touring next year!

Young Peoples Summer Project

For any 12 - 15 year olds from Thornden, Quilley, Toynbee, Wyvern or Crestwood schools who love drama, here is a chance to do something different and exciting!

So if you want to form your own theatre company, go to local performances, train with professional actors and directors, and spend 2 days in London to watching shows at the London Fringe then this is the project for you!

Our young theatre company will run in July and August, meeting once or twice a week to explore, create and watch theatre!

Shanghai is coming!

This weekend we shall be flying out to Shanghai (well some of us) with a new show made especially for the World Expo. We shall be animating the new British Pavilion and can’t wait to get over to China and explore all the wonders that there are on offer. For one month we will be in residence at the Expo Centre and we shall do our best to keep a blog running with photos and little stories whilst we are there!

We will be heading back out there in October with an enlarged version of our show and with more of the company, but for July we will just have to split up and get touring two shows! So here we go learning Mandarin figuring out chopsticks!

Auditions

This week we will be auditioning for another company member. We are very excited as it makes our performing group really complete with 5 main performers, who will work with Artistic Director Matt Feerick to create two new shows! We are very excited to be bringing along a new man on our touring of The UK, France & Spain as well as China this year. Then in the spring of 2011 we will start working on our next indoor show, Death & Gardening.

So look out for the new name and photo of our newest member who will start performing this weekend in Newcastle!

And for those keenies who like to ask us if we have any jobs do feel free to send us your info as we always have things coming up!

Shanghai Ho!

We are delighted to be invited to perform in Shanghai! We will be head out for 2 months and working with the new Exhibition Centre to create some work for everyone in Shanghai!! This was a wonderful idea suggested by the British Council and The Foreign Office and we are very excited to be heading over to China with some English flags!

The project will take place during July and October 2010.
