Our Past..

Wet Picnic have performed with theatres and festivals all over the world since forming in 2006.  Initial pieces of walkabout street theatre grew to full-scale shows Rodney Dillyweed’s Undesirable Demise and The Dinner Table and, through steadily increasing their collaborations, funding and fan base, the company have established their current repertoire of four touring shows with two more in development, and have successfully delivered three site specific projects as well as countless walkabout performances.

The company has always had a strong commitment to learning and education, and from its very beginning has run youth theatres and workshops with schools on curriculum subjects, as well as some more individual projects, like running a week of drama for an entire school.

Wet Picnic has been supported throughout its existence by The University of Winchester, Hampshire County Council and Winchester City Council.
