What We Offer

Wet Picnic's ethos is all about play and experimenting with ideas, drawing inspiration from as many different places and people as possible. This provides the foundation of our Learning work. For children, students, adults and professionals alike, our work creates a supportive environment in which participants can play freely, using improvisation to explore movement, gesture, and the creation of characters. We teach people about clown and Bouffon, about translating text into physical theatre, about devising theatre and the fundamentals of ensemble work, and we can also offer practical workshops in mask making. For undergraduate students and professionals, we offer more specialist training about taking theatre into the street and site- specific venues, as well as Lecoq working methods, the work of Pina Bausch, Expressive Mask, Half Mask and Commedia dell'Arte.
